Colibri Browser provides an uncluttered browsing experience. Unlike many web browsers, this one boasts a compact interface without a tab bar. It also lets your view websites at full-size without distractions.
In many ways, Colibri is a step back to older browsers like Internet Explorer 6 during a time when modern browsers have all but embraced tabs. The browser is suited for users who like to view one webpage at a time. It provides a similar experience like Chrome but without the tab bar. At the same time, there are some interesting new features. ‘Links’ are designed to replace tabs and allow you to save a webpage so you can visit it later. Links can be filtered and grouped into lists, and are also searchable. You can also back-up Links on a cloud service. Colibri is best suited for static pages. Since there are no tabs, you are not able to have websites with real-time content running in the background. For example, you will not be able to browse websites while keeping Facebook Messenger on another tab. You can open an new window and have multiple webpages up simultaneously, although this weakens the browser's unique selling point that it reduces clutter and distractions.
Overall, the browser is not designed to how most of us browse the internet since tabs have become an essential part of how we use browsers. Other similar products like Opera and Vivaldi provide similar designer interfaces and the simplicity Colibri promotes but with much more functionality.
